For the dreamer, prayer is the most important
practice. This section is short, sweet, simple. Just pray. Like the physical
path, this one is highly personal. There is no "dreamer's prayer." Whatever
you know about prayer, use it. |
||
| I will caution you not to use prayer
as a time to tell God what to do. Pray simply for your own essential self
to be present in every waking and sleeping moment. Pray that your consciousness
will be pure and clean. Pray that communication with your soul will be continuous
and unhampered. Pray for inner peace. Soon, you'll find that prayer underscores every moment of your life. Gentle, loving prayer replaces the mental chatter that used to occupy your brain. Disturbing moments will be embraced with prayer. Phone calls will be punctuated with prayer. You will become a walking prayer. I often find myself praying in dreams now. I will stop off at a church in the middle of a relatively ordinary dream, light a candle, say a prayer. Just a few days ago someone I thought to be a bad man chased me in a dream. I ducked into a bathroom, lay down in the tub, and prayed -- not for rescue or safety, but for the Crystal Clear Light to express through me. Prayer, communication with Creator, keeps your wiring and your plumbing in tip top shape. No matter what kind of light comes your way, you can handle it. No matter what kind of refuse, you can flush it. The prayerful dreamer is a holy being. |
